MAGNETIC SPRAY PAINT!!! ho-ly COW!!!
I was so excited I ran home and immediately broke it open and started spraying away!
...it didn't work...
Back to square one I go... poo!
To the grocery store to buy groceries. Down the baking isle I found a 10x15 cookie sheet on sale, $5! They hold magnets! Into the buggy it goes! I had a pretty roll of wrapping paper, spray glue and my magnets.
After hubby left for work I broke out my supplies:
- Cookie Sheet
- Wrapping Paper
- Spray Glue
- Wrapping Paper Cutter or Scissors
- Newspaper (to cover your work surface)
- Mod Podge and Sponge Brush (which I decided I DID NOT need and therefore did not use)
- and of course the leg of a small child! (which I also didn't use)
This was pretty simple
I just measured the amount of paper I needed, kinda like I was wrapping a present.
I had an audience the whole time!
Next I covered my work surface, the floor, with the newspaper and laid the cookie sheet on it face down (I am using the back of the cookie sheet as the front of my board) and sprayed the back and sides with glue.
I carefully laid the paper on the glue and smoothed out any bubbles. I also carefully pressed the paper onto the edges and into the creases.
Next I cut straight across the corners so they wouldn't be so bulky when I folded them under. I flipped the pan over and sprayed JUST the sides, so the edges of the paper sticks to the pan, and I folded the paper onto the edges of the pan.
My cookie sheet doesn't have a hole in the handle like some do so I used velcro dots on the edge of the pan.
After I put it on the wall I tried my 11x14 frame on top of it and it didn't look bad so I put nails in the appropriate places and hung the frame. Add makeup and TADA! Magnetic makeup board!
This project took me about 30 minutes with 2 babies to take care of, so, super simple!
Enjoy!
