How to Remove that Pesky Battery Corrosion

When was the last time you needed to change batteries only to find the old batteries had corroded? This is a simple trick I learned from my mom to clean up that battery corrosion so the next set you put in wont corrode as as quickly!

All you need for this quick clean up is

  • Vinegar
  • Q-tips
  • corroded battery compartment
Mine looked like this

All you need to do is dip the Q-tip in the vinegar and swab it onto the corrosion. It will fizz, I think thats how you know it's working (that's what I tell myself anyway). It comes off fairly quickly!
As the vinegar fizzes and loosens the corrosion, wipe it away with a clean, dry Q-tip. Be sure to let it dry before putting batteries into the compartment!

It turned out pretty good if you ask me!
Let me know how it works for you!
